Amazon Gives iPhone Users A Kindle App

Late Tuesday night Amazon.com launched a Kindle e-book reader for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch. The free app gives iPhone and iPod users access to more than 240,000 Kindle books currently available in Amazon's e-book library.

Kindle for iPhone can be used on any iPhone, iPhone 3G, or iPod touch with Firmware 2.0 or higher installed. Once installed and registered the Kindle app will allow you to browse the Kindle Store directly from your iPhone, allowing you to access your Kindle library archived on Amazon.com.

You can access all the Kindle e-books currently in your Amazon account, downloading and storing them on your iPhone or iPod Touch for later reading. You can also browse the store through the Safari browser for the books you want to read and utilizing your registered Amazon account and their 1-Click payment method purchase new books.
