D-Link Introduces New Networking Solutions AT CES 2009

D-Link will be highlighting the latest trends in digital home networking and solutions at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this week. Some of the hottest, easy-to-use devices to enhance digital home connectivity, convenience and entertainment include:
  • D-Link Xtreme N All-In-One 11 Router (DIR-685) - An all-in-one 802.11n home network router with all the features of a fast, far-reaching Wi-Fi router combined with network attached storage (NAS) via built-in slot for 2.5" hard drive, print server and 3.2-inch LCD monitor for displaying digital photos and network diagnostics. Its upright design and touch sensitive buttons allow users to easily view the vibrant LCD screen that displays device status, digital photos, streamed video, weather forecasts and other information in up to 1.6 million colors.
  • D-Link's Fastest Router Ever- D-Link will be showing the Xtreme N450, with data speeds of up to 450 megabits per second*. Current 802.11 home network routers today operate at 300Mbps*. Like many of D-Link's 802.11n routers, it will feature both wide and local area network (WAN/LAN) gigabit ports, D-Link's own SharePort technology for printer sharing capabilities, simultaneous dual-band 2.4 and 5 gigahertz performance, three antennas and D-Link Green™ technology to save power through wireless scheduling and innovative cable and port detection technology.
  • D-Link SideStage - This 7" monitor is designed for multi-tasking computer users who prefer to have their main screen for viewing Windows applications, and another smaller screen for extending their desktop to display instant messaging, watch videos, video conferencing, Yahoo Widgets and Microsoft Gadgets, or house common tools from programs such as Adobe PhotoShop. The SideStage is a stylish and compact USB 2.0-powered monitor with a 7-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) screen featuring 800 by 480 resolution with both landscape and portrait modes.
  • D-Link 802.11n Network Camera (DCS-1130) - Offering true plug and play, this home and small business network security camera features easy installation and set-up, mobile 3G and Web monitoring, 16x digital zoom and sharp resolution, and multiple profiles. With 3GPP mobile surveillance, users can view a live feed from the camera using a 3G-enabled cell phone or PDA. Viewing camera video and managing configuration is made simple using D-Link's Easy Portal by pointing a standard web browser to an Internet portal home page. Surveillance systems with consolidated video storage can be implemented with an add-on for Microsoft Windows Home Server.
  • D-Link Supports Windows 7 - D-Link will provide an demonstration of how easy it is to manage home networking and digital home products using Windows 7, showing how simple it is to manage and push photos to the D-Link 10" Wireless Internet Photo Frame (DSM-210) with the new Windows operation system. D-Link has been working closely with Microsoft during the development of Windows 7 is designing new digital home solutions such as the DSM-210 to take advantage of its latest features and innovations.
  • Next Generation D-Link Green Technology for Desktop Switches - D-Link Green switch technology that utilizes innovative energy-saving techniques that automatically detect link status and network cable length, then adjusts power accordingly, just got better. The latest designs decrease energy consumption even more and are being incorporated into all of D-Link's current Green switches. They offer increased power savings and lower monthly electric bills over existing offerings and will be available soon on unmanaged models and later 2009 on Web Smart switches.
  • D-Link NVR Basic (DNS-722-4) and NVR Pro (DNS-726-4) - D-Link's new family of affordable network video recorders (NVRs) are designed to take the management of IP surveillance cameras to a new level of performance and ease. The new D-Link DNS-722-4 2-Bay NVR Basic is designed to work only with D-Link-brand network cameras. The DNS-726-4 2-Bay NVR Pro will work with D-Link's popular network cameras as well as those from Axis, Sony and Panasonic. Despite their lower price points, both new NVRs are packed with advanced video recording and camera management features, and remote access via the Internet.
  • D-Link PC-on-TV Wireless USB to HDMI Media Player - Enhancing D-Link's MediaLounge family of media players is the new Wireless USB HDMI Media Player which lets users view PC content on their high-definition TVs - wirelessly - and share it with friends and family. The affordable device features a USB UWB receiver and dongle, surround sound support and an additional USB port. This new PC-on-TV allows users to stream content from their PC from any media player like Windows Media Player, Nero, RealPlayer, iTunes and others.
  • D-Link Coax Ethernet Adapter Kit (DXN-221) - Certified by the Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA), this technology is ideal for users who want to add bandwidth-demanding applications, such as HD media streaming, music sharing and online multi-player gaming, to the home network. The DSN-221 kit includes two adapters with Ethernet ports and a Coaxial F-type connector for bridging the two adapters together, allowing Ethernet-enabled devices like PCs and media players to be added to the network.
