Rapid Repair Creates World's First 240GB iPod

Rapid Repair, a leader in online small electronics repair, has just announced the first 240GB iPod. The iPod features a 240GB Toshiba MK2431GAH Hard Drive, the Largest 1.8' Drive to Date.

KALAMAZOO, MI (2/2/09) – Rapid Repair has just finished testing the largest 1.8 inch drive available to date. The Toshiba MK2431GAH 240GB single platter drive can hold a bit more music than you may be used to. This 8mm dual platter drive came from the MK1231GAL package released in 2008 when the iPod Classic 2nd Gen. 120GB came out from Apple.

Unfortunately this drive is only compatible with the original iPod Video versions. It will work in a 30GB, 60GB and 80GB original iPod Video ONLY. Initial compatibility tests indicate functionality only on the iPod Video 5G, but we are working to develop a method to enable use on iPod Classic, and Zune 2G units. Cram as much music as you can on this HUGE drive! Price is yet to be announced, we should start seeing stock in a few weeks. Check the product here for your iPod repair and upgrade needs: MK2431GAH
