Fresh off the announcement that Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak would be getting a new job as chief scientist at Fusion-io today we learn that he was named a contestant on the reality television show Dancing With the Stars.
The Woz will be one of the 13 contestants on the eigth season of the show which will have its highly anticipated two-hour season premiere MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2009. The other contestants include: singer Belinda Carlisle, comedian David Alan Grier, popular folk and country singer Jewel along with her fiance the legendary bull riding champ Ty Murray, Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson, Grammy Award winning multi-platinum rapper, singer, actress, and fashion icon LIL' Kim, actor Gilles Marini, comedian and all around nut job Steve-O, co-Anchor of Access Hollywood Nancy O'Dell, actress Denise Richards, NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor and singer songwriter Chuck Wicks.
